What a weekend!!!

Captain’s Log

What a fantastic weekend on the water! Fresh off the excitement of the July 4th holiday, this weekend brought just as much fun, adventure, and unforgettable moments.

While the sea lions were fewer in number this time around, the ones we did spot were enjoying a lazy lounge in the sun. Bird sightings were abundant—more than usual, in fact. We spotted numerous Blue Herons, the highest number of Snowy Egrets we’ve seen yet, along with pelicans and cormorants soaring and diving across the harbor skies.

The harbor was buzzing with activity. We witnessed a swimmer triumphantly complete a crossing from Anacapa Island—an impressive feat! There was even a bit of excitement as Harbor Patrol performed a rescue for a disabled boat caught inside the surf zone.

One standout group of adventurers reserved back-to-back time slots on Saturday and got the full tour—they explored nearly every corner of the harbor!

Many memories were made this weekend, and we’re already looking forward to the next adventure.
